Veterinarians at The Hometown Veterinarian

Dr. Jacobson With Adorable Kitten

At The Hometown Veterinarian, our veterinarians are more than medical professionals—as part of The Hometown Veterinarian Difference they are trusted advisors, compassionate caregivers, and advocates for pets and their families.

As part of our team, you’ll work in an independently owned practice that blends high-level medical care with the relationships and trust of a community-focused hospital.

We believe that great veterinary care is built on time, attention to detail, and doing things the right way—even when it takes more effort. That philosophy guides how we care for every patient and every client.

even when it takes more effort. That philosophy guides how we care for every patient and every client.

Why Choose The Hometown Veterinarian?

We believe that exceptional medicine and a supportive work environment go hand in hand.

  • Independently owned practice with a focus on patient-first care
  • A culture of collaboration, respect, and professional growth
  • Modern equipment and diagnostic capabilities to support quality medicine
  • A strong emphasis on communication, education, and client relationships
  • A team environment that allows veterinarians to focus on medicine

Our hospital is equipped with digital radiography, a full in-house laboratory, dental radiographs, ultrasound, surgical laser, advanced anesthetic monitoring, and modern surgical equipment.

We maintain a diverse caseload, including advanced soft tissue and orthopedic procedures such as TPLO, as well as complex internal medicine cases.

How We Practice Medicine

We are committed to thorough, consistent, and patient-centered care.

  • Every surgical patient receives IV fluids and continuous electronic monitoring
  • A trained team member is present from sedation through recovery
  • Diagnostics are used to guide decisions—not guesswork
  • Time is taken to educate clients and answer questions
  • Pain management and patient comfort are always prioritized

This approach allows our veterinarians to practice confidently and ensures that pets receive the level of care we would want for our own.

What This Means For Our Patients

When a pet is in our care, that pet is never rushed, overlooked, or treated as just another case.

Each patient is monitored closely, supported by a trained team from start to finish, and treated with the same level of care and respect we would expect for our own pets.

We take the time to do things the right way—because pets deserve nothing less.
