Veterinarian
Hi, I'm Dr. Rachael Franken! I was raised in Iowa and spent my youth surrounded by animals as an active member of 4H and Future Farmers of America (FFA).
I earned my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. Following veterinary school, I pursued additional training in specialized fields, earning certifications in veterinary acupuncture from Chi University and animal chiropractic from Options for Animals in 2021.
Why I Chose This Profession
From a young age, I knew I wanted to work with animals and other people who love them. Veterinary medicine allows me to combine my love for animals with science and hands-on care.
My Favorite Part of My Job
My primary passion is surgery because I love helping pets regain their health and mobility. In addition to surgical procedures, I incorporate acupuncture and chiropractic care into my practice to provide a holistic approach to animal wellness.
Personal Hobbies & Interests
When I’m not in the clinic, I enjoy gardening, homesteading, and spending time with my horses.
