What Inspired You to Join the Animal Field?
I've always been naturally drawn to animals. Their unique personalities and behaviors have fascinated me for as long as I can remember, so working with them just felt like the perfect fit.
Experience & Background
Before joining The Hometown Veterinarian, I worked as a veterinarian in Mexico, where I gained hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals. After moving to the U.S., I worked as an animal caretaker at a pig farm in Kansas, further expanding my knowledge of animal care and handling.

Where I’m From & Where I’ve Been
I’m originally from the Yucatán Peninsula in southern Mexico. Over the years, I’ve traveled to many different cities throughout Mexico, as well as Kansas, California, and Oklahoma.

My Passion in My Role
Everything about this job excites me! I especially enjoy animal handling and laboratory testing, where I get to be hands-on and help with patient care.
What I Do Every Day
As a Veterinary Assistant, I talk with clients about their pets’ medical history, assist veterinarians with patient care, collect laboratory samples, run lab tests, and perform medical procedures. Being bilingual in Spanish and English allows me to better communicate with a diverse range of clients, ensuring every pet owner feels comfortable and informed about their pet’s care. I also assist the doctors as a proofreader, using my strong grammar skills to help refine documentation and communication.
