What Inspired You to Join the Animal Field?
I've always loved animals, but when I graduated high school, I took the Johnson O’Connor Aptitude Test. It suggested that caregiving would be a great fit for me. I knew I didn’t want to work in human medicine, so the animal care field seemed like the perfect path!

Experience & Background

Before joining The Hometown Veterinarian, I had never worked in the animal field. THV has been my first experience, and I’ve loved every moment of it!

I’m originally from Baxter, IA, and moved to Marshall County in 2023.

What I Love About THV
One of my favorite things about working at THV is the sense of family. Not all workplaces have such great people that you can truly call family, but at THV, we do. The integrity, leadership, and accountability here make it an amazing place to work.

My Passion in My Role
I love assisting with dental procedures, helping with diagnostics, and following treatment plans to help pets in need. Knowing that I’m making a difference in an animal’s health and well-being is incredibly rewarding.

What I Do Every Day
Being a veterinary assistant allows me to share the love that our clients have for their pets. I get to experience all their different personalities, and at the end of the day, that makes my job so fulfilling.
